Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell, Sunday morning, two days before the main attraction, the midterms. And with us today is the chairman of the GOP, Joe Grutter. And, Mr. Chairman, you’ve been crisscrossing the country. You’re going up and down, back and forth. Give us an update and give us the pulse of the situation.
Well, listen, we’re closing strong. There’s a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of energy. I think we’re building momentum every single day. But at the end of the day, we have to close strong. I mean, the last two days are going to be meaningful. That’s why we have the president doing a lot of these teletown halls, so we
can maximize the overall effort, because this race all comes down to turnout. And, John, what’s at stake is we have these leftist radical extremists that want to fundamentally change the way you and I live versus common sense, reasonableness, and people that want to continue to make sure that you and your children have the opportunity of the American dream.
We have to fight. There’s no do-overs. Look what’s happening over in Europe. We can’t let these guys get a foothold. We have to win. So we’re trying to close as strong as we can.
Well, I hope the American people realize that Europe is in deep, deep trouble and that they’re trying to do the same thing to the United States of America. I mean, under President Biden, I mean, I don’t want to blame him because I don’t know if he knew what was going on. I think the people behind him, some people
call it the Obama third term. But they let in. some bad people. You know, we want immigration. America wants immigration, but we don’t want to be invaded. And that’s what happened during, you know, that period of time with President Biden.
We need people that will assimilate, that will be Americans, that will love America, that will be proud to be Americans, that will join the workforce, be productive citizens. We can’t have the alternative. Look what’s happening in Europe. And what the left wants to do right now is they want to bring back all the people we’ve already deported, including
the murderers and rapists. Don’t forget all these countries under Joe Biden. You know, they let all the prisoners go. They let all the mental hospital patients go and they let them into our country. It was a complete disaster.
Tens of millions of illegals flooded in. And the left and these extremist Democrats want to bring them back. They want to give everybody amnesty because they know that long term they can’t win elections without cheating and without bringing in non-native people. And they want to give them the opportunity to vote. And if that happens, it’s game over.
We don’t get a second chance at it. That’s why we have to win. Absolutely.
Absolutely. I mean, some of the things they’re doing, what they did in Alaska, I can’t believe it.
They’re cheating. They’re blatantly cheating. But that’s what they do every day. The Democrats lie, steal, and cheat their way to try to get these election victories. They’re willing to do whatever it takes. That’s why we have 180 lawsuits across 37 states. We have to sue all the time because they don’t want secure elections. That’s why they don’t
support the Save America Act. They don’t want voter ID. They don’t want proof of citizenship when you register. You know why?
Because they need to cheat to win. And they had their hands caught in the cookie jar. And now you know what they’re doing? They’re saying, oh, well, it’s not illegal.
It’s fine. You know, this is part of the problem. No, shame on them for thinking that they don’t think that their candidates can win unless they cheat. And so shame on the Democrats for trying to pull this off. You know, and and the fact that The New York Times themselves reported shows you how bad it is. I mean, The
New York Times isn’t necessarily doing a lot of things to help the Republican cause, but even they couldn’t stomach the fact that these guys were cheating as blatantly as they were.
And it’s going on all over. California, give us an update on California. I mean, they had 20,000 votes that could affect things that they refused to put aside, that were illegal ballots.
Well, because they don’t care. This goes back to that. That’s why, you know, God bless Steve Hilton and some of our Republican friends that are carrying the banner out there. But this is, you know, California is... is a very tough place for Republicans because they’re blatantly cheating every day.
We can’t, and we’re trying our best. We go in there and shoot. We’re continuing to try to bring the hammer, but it is a constant battle out there. And then we’re trying to win with less people. As beautiful and as nice as California is, a lot of people get sick and tired of the politics and the left-wing lunatics
And so they moved to other states. And so they flee. So we have to win with fewer people. But Steve Hilton is fighting a courageous battle. We’ve got a couple of congressional races out there that we’re competing in that we think we could win. But it all comes down to turnout.
Minnesota, I think we could win that Senate seat. I think things are turning there.
Yeah, well, listen, Flanagan, you talk about a weak candidate. I mean, the good thing is, is across the board is we have great candidates like where I think she is a broad, you know, the sense of common sense and reasonableness versus Flanagan, who’s been at the wheel with Governor Waltz with all the fraud and waste and abuse
that people have seen there. And listen, it’s tough to win there, but I think people may be finally sick and tired of everything that they’ve been given over the last decade. But again, it’s tough to win when you’re stacking the deck against the true-believed red, white, and blue Americans.
It’s tough to win, but I think DeFoya could be a surprise pickup for the Republicans. We’re excited about that race. And I hope that we can close strong.
Michigan. Michigan. I mean, I can’t believe anybody, you know, any common sense person would vote for this person.
Well, you would think that. But, you know, I just I was in doing a bus tour with Mike Rogers a couple of days ago. Great candidate. In normal, again, this is a case of where the matchup is exactly what we would want as a party. You have a normal, you know, you have a former FBI agent, law enforcement
officer who’s, you know, basically committed his life to public service over the years and who is not a, you know, he’s not a showboat. He’s just a workforce. And then he’s going against certainly a showboat. a guy who has some serious, serious complex. But listen, we’re, you know, we’re trying to expose him for what he is. He is
a radical extremist. You know, he hangs out, judge people by who they hang out with. This guy hangs out with Hassan Pike on the primary. We have to win that race. El-Said has no business being anywhere near D.C.
and representing us or Michiganders. We got to win that seat.
Texas, I can’t believe that Paxton could lose. I mean, I just can’t believe that.
Texas is a ruby red Republican state. I was there this week doing a bus tour of Paxton. And listen, the president was right when, you know, sometimes you may not like his look or the way he talks. But the one thing about Paxton is he is a conservative fighter.
And so if you want people out there fighting for things like the Save America Act, Paxton is going to get it done. And he’s won statewide three times. He is probably the best attorney general in the country for Republicans.
And we need him in D.C. And he’s going against a guy who’s a vegan who still shares a checkbook with his mother. I don’t think he’s ever moved out of his house. He’s a vegan. He believes God is non-binary.
He’s fixated with trans kids. He believes in six genders. I mean, the guy is a radical leftist who’s never really even had a real job. He’s a Christian that hates Christianity. He’s a chameleon. We can’t let him in the Senate. I don’t care. What state he’s from. He’d be a terrible senator. Paxton will be a great one.
I think we have a good chance of winning that one.
OK, well, Florida, we you know, we both live there.
Yeah, listen, Ashley Moody is a superstar. She’s kept her head down after she was appointed when Marco Rubio moved on to the secretary position. of state position, and she’s done a good job, and I think she’s leading the polls.
She’s going against another DSA candidate who wants to have an open southern border, wants to give the amnesty to everybody, who wants to put boys’ and girls’ locker rooms. It’s all the same stick on the left. They have no real policies other than these extremist, radical policies that will fundamentally change the way you and I live every day.
We can’t let them win. I think Moody’s in a great position to be successful, but it’s so far dead in the Republican column.
Maine, I think Susan Collins is going to win.
Yes, we were there a couple weeks ago. Susan Collins has a grasp. She’s probably the only Republican that can win. She’s not with us all the time, but she represents her state well. She’s committed to following her beliefs and her thoughts. and so I don’t always like everything that she does, but she is a Republican, so we are
supporting her, and we want her to be successful, and I think she will be successful against Troy Jackson, who is a grand planner 2.0. He’s a cousin lover. He has a short temper, gets very angry, and he hasn’t accomplished much in his years of being in the state legislature.
He was not picked by the voters of Maine to represent their party. He was picked by the Democratic elitists, and we saw what happened when they did that with Kamala Harris. I think Susan Collins gets the win.
And let’s go down to, what is it, New Hampshire, Sununu?
Sununu, you know, was tied for a little bit. He’s, you know, this is a case where Sununu is by far the superior candidate, served in the Senate before, I think would make a great U.S. Senator. We have Kelly Ayotte at the top of the ticket, Ayotte, and she’s a, I think she’s winning by a couple points. We have
to hope that she can, that, that, uh, that that Republican ticket will be united and they’ll vote down ticket and that Sununu can be a victory. That’s trending a little bit against us, but we’ve invested a ton of money.
We hope that he can close strong enough to pick that one up as well.
North Carolina, South Carolina.
Wow, both these races are tough. I mean, it’s a, you know, you got Darlene Graham who’s taken over for her... Late brother, Lindsey, you have some sour, hurt feelings from the Republican primary. And so that’s making that race a little bit of a challenge. But I think, Darlene, at the end, I think Republicans will come home and put
her in the seat for the next six years. Michael Watley, who’s running in North Carolina, got a bad draw of running against a former governor. But what people don’t know about Watley is the guy is probably one of the hardest workers out there. He’s been pounding the pavement. He’s been raising the resources. He’s been doing everything he needs
to be successful. We just have to hope. And there’s more Republicans now in North Carolina than Democrats. This is a race where, again, we need turnout to be super strong on our side if we’re going to get away.
Last one. Well, then you can continue. Ohio, is it tight or is it going to go red?
Listen, Ohio is extremely tight. And I was with John Husted and Senator Brasso yesterday doing a bus tour, and they know what’s at stake. I look at Ohio as a state that’s a must-win. If we’re going to keep the majority in the Senate, we’ve got to win Ohio.
And Houston’s really come on strong. I’m talking about he’s on fire out there. I saw it yesterday when I was with him, just the enthusiasm and the energy. I think that we have a strong chance at being successful there.
Like I said, everything, all these races, they all come down to turnout. That’s why people need to go to SwampToVoteUSA.com. Create a plan for yourself. Make sure you talk to others. There’s no second chances at this. We have to win.
We have to win and give the president a majority if we’re going to continue on to have– if you believe– well, I’ll just say this. If you believe in the American dream is still alive for yourself or your children, you should vote for the Republican ticket and get out there and get everybody you know. If you turn on
the TV and see what’s happening in Paris, it’s terrible.
Joe Grutter, I agree with you 110%. I tell all my friends– All my Democratic friends, all my Independence friends, all my Republican friends, put everything aside and make sure you vote Republican this year. We need common sense, and we need to keep the free world free, and God bless America. Thank you so much, Joe Grutter, for everything
you do. Thanks, John.
See you soon.
