Speaker 1 Well, let’s go to New Jersey. And with us today is Chris Smith, a New Jersey congressman. And well, Congressman Smith, I mean, so many things are going on. You’re also on a special committee on China. There’s elections three days from now. Where do you want to start this morning?

Speaker 2 Well, certainly the election is on everybody’s mind. And my deepest hope is that Republicans and like-minded, unaffiliated, and even Democrats who cross over, the old Reagan Democrats, will see clear to support our candidates, including me. I’ve never been so disappointed in a Democratic party as I am right this minute. Unfortunately, the socialists slash communists have gained a

true foothold. And I read their entire platform online. It took me a couple of hours to They want to get rid of free enterprise. They want to get rid of the cops.

Speaker 3 They want a communist society.

Speaker 2 And that only means unbelievable trouble and cruelty over time.

Speaker 3 And, of course, the end of our economy as we’ve ever known it.

Speaker 1 Well, I’ll tell you, you know, I was a Bill Clinton Democrat 30 years ago, 40 years ago, if I lose track. And this Democratic Party... There’s nothing, you know, no common sense. And a lot of my Democratic friends that do have common sense, a lot of them are scared to go against the socialists. I mean, how do

you read that?

Speaker 2 Well, I find that to be the way it’s going, including in New Jersey. You know, they are very brazen. They talk out of both sides of their mouths. But they do tell their strongest supporters... They’re a nightmare for America, and it is a nightmare. And so when you get into that polling booth, you’re all alone. And I hope

that like-minded Democrats with our common sense values will say enough is enough. They’re taking over that party like I’ve never seen before, and it’s very, very troubling what they’re doing. So– I’m confident that hopefully this will be short-lived, but I’m not sure it will be. I’ve spent my entire life fighting communism, starting with the Soviet Union, China, Cuba,

all over the world. And to think it’s coming here has already made a very significant beachhead. So we’ve got to fight it and expose it.

Speaker 3 Free enterprise. Who’s going to create the jobs going forward? The communists? I don’t think so. They never have. They never will. Everybody will be equally miserable.

Speaker 1 Well, the biggest problem is when we had open borders in four years under President Biden, they were coming in like no tomorrow. I mean, there’s estimates anywhere from 10 million to 20 million. Who knows what the real truth is?

But it’s just horrible because we didn’t know who came in and who didn’t. Exactly.

Speaker 2 You know, and there was no vetting. There were lies by Mayorkas and by Biden himself and certainly Harris about how the border was secure. I mean, in plain sight, everyone’s saying that they’re streaming in by the tens of millions, and I think it’s closer to 20 million. The child sex trafficking got even worse under Biden because of it,

all of these unaccompanied minors, and all of these people coming in from places like China.

Speaker 3 All these guys, who are they? We have no idea. We know that a lot of people on the terrorist watch list.

Speaker 2 Came across that border, were waved in and.

Speaker 3 Said, hey, welcome, have a nice day.

Speaker 2 And so we really put our nation at risk. They put our nation at risk. Trump, to his everlasting credit, has been following on. Peter King, as I mentioned one other time on your show, he wrote the Secure Offense Act of 2006, the best bill I’ve ever seen with regards.

Speaker 3 To border security. And everybody voted for it.

Speaker 2 You know, all kinds of people voted for it, including Hillary Clinton. And then they turn around and now they don’t want anything to do with it and they want an open border. Open borders and fight the worst of the worst. Yes, there’s some people who are fleeing persecution.

Speaker 3 That’s true refugees.

Speaker 2 That’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about you know, just a porous border. It has aided and abetted a massive explosion of human trafficking. And John, I wrote the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 and four other anti-human trafficking bills. Matter of fact, the brothers, the three of them that just got convicted, the Alexanders, they

were convicted under my bill, as was Gazelle and a whole lot of other people.

Speaker 3 I wrote that law.

Speaker 2 And to think that we’re getting all these people in who are part of a trafficking network, an infarious network, is troubling beyond words. And it was all aided and abetted by these communist sympathizers and.

Speaker 3 The Biden administration.

Speaker 2 So that party, you know, I hope that they can reclaim their footing back to being, you know, be an old-fashioned liberal. Don’t be these liberals that are not liberals. They’re not even progressives anymore.

Speaker 3 They are communists.

Speaker 1 Congressman Chris Smith, thank you for coming on. And let’s talk again real soon.

Speaker 3 John, thank you so much for having me on.

Speaker 2 Really appreciate your show.
