Speaker 1 Sunday morning. What this is bringing a General Blaine Hope, Uh to find out what the heck is going on? And uh when all the world wars were having Oh, General Hope. Uh, there’s so many things going on in Ukraine, Uh, Israel, Iran.

It looks like President Trump has done a great job on this trip. We’re settling down things with India and Pakistan. But people want to hear from you. You have the experience, you you have your ear to the ground, General Hope, give us some of your your analysis.

Speaker 2 Well, atter Sunday to you. Let’s start with our hope for Iran and the saga of their pursuance of nuclear weapons ending peacefully the way President Trump has scripted for them. It’s a it’s a grand idea, but it’s going all coming down to will they get give up the ability to enrich uranium or not? And they you know, if

they want to have nuclear power, then they can have nuclear power. They don’t need it, but if they want to have that, that’s fine. Like the United Arab Emirates, they would have to import enriched uranium if we could be sufficiently satisfied that that would happen. But right now, the Iotola is saying, well, no way are we going

to give up the ability to enrich our own So there’s your impasse. If we have to do this militarily Iran, we’ll find that it’s going to lose more than just the ability to enrich uranium. They’ll lose that regime as well.

And I think the Iranian people, quite frankly, are ready for that.

Speaker 1 General. The other day I spoke at the at a European economic conference in New York, and I said to them, I said to them that who trusts I ran to do the right thing if we allow them to have an atomic bomb? And it’s ninety percent of people don’t trust them, I mean, and I said, I’m not against

the prisions. The prisions are very smart, great people. I am against the leadership of Iran at this current time. And you can’t allow them to have atomic bomb.

Speaker 2 No, But I mean, you know them by their deeds. These are the guys that set up the proxies, uh, and they’re trying to make goods through their proxies on their you know belotos language of destroy Israel. And by the way, they have tear cells all across our nation that came in when the border was wide open, that

can be activated in the event that we do go to war with them. So in addition, no credibility.

Speaker 1 What what what I’m really upset about is the previous administration, President Biden’s administration doubled the price of oil or tripleed it in some places, and that gave Iran the extreme wealth. And what do they do with the extreme wealth. Well, they hired the hoodies, they hired the Hamas to go kill peaceful Israeli citizens. I mean, if they had an

atomic bomb, what are they going to do? Give the Hamasa atomic bomb.

Speaker 2 If they got an atomic weapon and married it to their very capable missile systems, they will use it. That’s the thing. That’s the difference. There’s no such thing as we just want to be a nuclear state and have deterrence.

That’s not who they are and we know that and so and here’s the other part. We’re not the only voting member in this game. If we were to decide no, we’re confident the Iranians are doing the right thing, and the Israelis were not confident of that. Well, they’re just going to go take them out. So we have to

be very very firm on what we press on for these assurances that we’re going to be okay. And regardless, they’re going bankrupt right now because President Trump is back and you may well see the Iranian people say, look, we’ll take these guys out here, have the nuclear stuff, let us have an economy, leave our oil fields alone.

That to me sounds like a very reasonable outcome. But Iran, no matter what, is isolated right now, and they’re just part of this big tapestry of conflict and crisis that the President inherited that he is running around the world, and I think his trip last week is evidence that he’s up for it. He had a tremendous tour de force,

brought back three trillion dollars in economic development into the United States, single handedly stave gooing aircraft, isolated China, isolated Russia, and these are very very good things.

Speaker 1 I agree with you. He had a great trip, and I mean he’s handling like five problems at the same time. And the other joke I said at the economic conference I spoke to last week was George Washington was the father of our country, saved America. Donald Trump wants to be the father of the free world and save the

free world because without a strong without a strong Washington, the free world might not might not be that free.

Speaker 2 Well, that’s exactly right. We have to assume our role as leader. And it’s not just because of our wealth. It’s not because we have the strongest military. It’s because of that document, that document that America fought for at its inception. The Constitution of the United States is the only game in town in terms of an honest broker.

And we even aspire to those values, we don’t meet them every day. And so what happens is President Trump goes off and makes the world a more peaceful place while he’s getting shot in the back of the head by this enraged, meat eating, eyeball bleeding press saying, oh, well, he’s just transactional. These are just transactions. The President has

become a transactional diplomat. And it’s like, what would you rather that we did the twenty years of straight warfare, loss of limbs, lives and treasure that I went through personally, or would you rather we all prospered together and took these amazing technologies that come out every second of the day and put them to work for humanity, and we

all enriched ourselves as people citizens around the world for that, and that’s what the president’s been after. And I think the contrast couldn’t be more sharp.

Speaker 1 Now you were you were the military representative and shareman of Joint chiefs of Staffs with NATO. So there’s nobody you know NATO pretty well. Is NATO coming, Is NATO coming together? Or the Germans and French want to go off their own direction.

Speaker 2 Oh, last week I saw signs of hope that basket case we call NATO, which is actually a good basket case because Europe has to come together five times a week, whether it likes it or not, and talk to each other.

And you know, they’ve been a straight war for over a thousand years, interrupted by this seventy five year experiment.

Speaker 1 Europe has been a war for thousands of years, and they picked different targets at different times. I mean, they’re crazy, but there are there are there are civilized people.

Speaker 2 Yes, yes, I’ve lived there ten years of my life and loved it, speak to European languages. But the side of hope that I saw was President Macrone of France and his about face last week when he went from I’m going, you know, we need to put French troops on the ground in Ukraine to talking like President Trump,

we’re going to end this war. There is no military solution. We have to stop this. Of course, French troops are not going into Ukraine. Don’t know where he got his script card from. I think I have an idea. But there is signs that NATO is coming around to understand that there is not a military answer to Russia. You

have to engage them a different way. And Europe and its economy need Russia just as much as Russia needs them between the oil and gas and the de industrialization that’s happened, and they all have to come together, and they got to put Ukraine back together again.

Speaker 1 I agree, Well, General, we’re out of time, and thank you for your input. And if we all use our common sense, and President Trump has a lot of common sense, and let’s hope that we keep the world together.

Speaker 2 Absolutely I can pray for that. John is always a pleasure. Thank you.
