Speaker 1 Well with us this morning is Kevin mcclarthy, the former Speaker of the House, and he’s on with us to give us an update of what’s going on in Congress, what’s going on in Washington, what’s going on in our country, and what happened with your successful trip that President Trump is taking. Speak of McCarthy, give us an update.

Speaker 2 I’ll tell you what. When we go back and look at different trips presidents made, I think this one will go down as one of the most successful. President Trump comes in and just the contrast to President Biden’s trip three years prior. You watch the respect they’d give him President Trump in America, you look at the amount of

resources and investments, the trillions of dollars that are coming back. Then you also think about this it plays into Ukraine and Russia because if we get the price of oil down, that lowers inflation in America, but it also hurts houtin because this whole timey basis on oil. If you look at President Trump, how just changing up when it comes

to Sea. It’s a new approach. But it also makes sure Iran is not filling that void in China is not filling that void. Remember China came into the Middle East, putting Saudi Arabia and Iran together, and then when he’s leaving and solidifying our ally stronger and they’re buying American weapons, it was a very clear message to Iran that they

could never have a nuclear weapon. So I could not think of anything that could have gone better. Where the President said to Saudi Arabia, I want you to be a part of the Abraham Accords as well. It just seems as though America is not only stronger, but the world has become safer based upon this trip. And economically

we’re even in a stronger position.

Speaker 1 Well that for sure, in a stronger position because we’re President Trump. The way you say, he’s going to level the playing field, make it fair for our for the rest of the world, but it’s going to be fair for the United States of America. How much money do you think that involves, mister speaker.

Speaker 2 Well, it is trillions of dollars that we have found that they have now announced to come. But there was a whole other thing that played out here that people didn’t see that it was the genius of President Trump.

Not only was the President there, but the titans of industry in America were there. Now You’ve got to think about this. Every other country is craving chips, space technology, and here’s President Trump bringing along Elon musk Jensen with Navidia.

And if you watch that, it just shows America as united. But it just shows economically we’re in such a stronger position too, and almost envious from other countries. And it becomes a magnet for investment. So you’re going to see much more investment come and I think it will actually help President Trump get more of the trade agreements that

he’s out there negotiating.

Speaker 1 Now understood, So if all that business flows our way, our economy has got to go gangbusters in the next you know, a few years.

Speaker 2 Well, if you watch the stock the stock market seems like it is moving up now. If Congress can start doing the things that President Trump’s doing, and it even help us more. Today was a real misstep on the Republican’s part and the budget side, that four of them looked out for themselves instead of moving the bill along

the reconciliation. But what really shows is once President Trump gets back in the country, I mean, poor President Trump is being the president and the speaker at the same time. I think we’ll get that bill through.

Speaker 1 And when do you think this will happen? When when is Congress going to meet again? The last Friday they walked out, and what happens.

Speaker 2 Now, Well, they’re back in this week, and I think that the President will be back in and really looking for these members to get the job done, because if they don’t get a job done, your taxes go up, and that’s not going to happen. And it has a lot of the promises the President made about no tax

on tips and others, and it will just help unleash the economy because it would bring security and stability, and that they know this is not going to happen any tax increases.

Speaker 1 Now, Speaker. The Democratic Party, I mean, they’re still rowing the boat in the same direction, but they don’t have any leadership and they’re still getting things done for their side.

Speaker 2 I’ll tell you the Democrats are really lost. And if you look at the polling out there, what Democrats are saying about Democrats, there’s an internal fight. They want to now kick somebody out who became the number two over at the d NCU, the Hogue young kid. But what’s interesting here is if you look at the leadership of

Hakkim and Schumer. I mean, I’ve never seen people more upset with that leadership. Schumer can’t even go out on a trip for a book tour. Hakim can’t make a decision. And now we’re finding out Hakim won’t even answer the questions about rying about Joe Biden and his mental abilities because he saw it. Remember when I would come out

and tell the truth about what was happening with Joe Biden. They literally lied to the American public. And now when the press is asking about it, they don’t want to answer the question. They say, oh, we’re just now moving forward. Well, that can’t be the case. If you’re in leadership and you knew this mental capacity was not there, you should

advise the American public of it. But I think it’s really going to harm and I think the Democrats are going to start talking about changing their leadership because I hear it a lot from a lot of the Democrats wanting new leadership to change Hakim an Schumer.

Speaker 1 Well, I told my friends, I’m giving a political contributions to AOC because I’d like to see her lose fifty states.

Speaker 2 I’ll tell you, but if you take a poll today, AOC is the leader of the Democratic Party. Look at the crowds she and Bernie Sanders get It’s not something that Hakeem or Schumer could do.

Speaker 1 Is it possible that the Democratic Party needs one big loss that they realize that they’re going in the wrong direction.

Speaker 2 Well, I think they just got it. But the current leadership is saying with the same failed policies, that’s not going to work. That’s why any new ideas, that’s why you see Hoague want to go out there and challenge some of these Democrats. And they’ve got a lot of Democrats who will never leave. I mean, really, if I

thought the leadership of the House was strong, would Nancy Pelosi stay around? And then you’ve got AOC being the strongest voice in the House, and are they going to pass her over for the ranking member position? Again? I think the base will get very upset with that.

Speaker 1 I agree with you. Anything else you want to tell the American people on a Sunday morning next week is Memorial Day? Can you believe it?

Speaker 2 Oh? I know, and I’ll tell you America is back stronger than ever. And spend some time the weather is better, spend some time with your family and thank our troops and those who provided our freedom, and let’s get out there and enjoy some of this nice weather.

Speaker 1 Kevin McCarthy, former Speaker of the House, thank you so much for your leadership, and God bless you, and God bless America.
