Speaker 1 Sunday morning with us today as Congresswoman Claudia Tenny and we talked on Friday, but we have so much any things to talk about, and that’s Sunday morning now, just before we go to church. Tell me, Claudia, what’s did you sleep good last night? What’s on your mind?

Speaker 2 Well, good morning, John, Yes, of course, But I got to tell you what worries me the most. And as I campaign around this beautiful state, in my beautiful district in upstate New York, it’s New York District twenty four.

It’s basically the shoreline of Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes, tons of farmland, one of the largest dairy districts in the entire country, one of the largest agricultural districts. And we have all this wonderful soil, great a lot of water, places that other parts of the world don’t have, including the rest of our country. And yet what have we done.

We’ve used all this excellent soil and good land and used it for what solar panels. I’m not against solar panels. I’m for the all of the above strategy. But when you’re taking our farmland that we need for food, and that are farmers could use and give them more money to put Chinese made solar panels in that is never

going to be able to use for farmland later. You know, you’re really not using the best you know, using the best use for these for this land. And I know our great EPA Administrator Lise Elden, Agricultural Secretary Brook Rollins, and a number of them have raised real concerns about what we’re doing with this productive farmland enough state New York,

and particularly what Kathy Hochel and the Albany Democrats are doing to override the interests of local communities. And this is a big issue up here. They’re all over the place, and I think people should know that. You know, right now, the state of New York is, according to the Independent Service Operators are saying that we are really having very

dangerously insufficient energy grid. That means our energy grid is not state enough to sustain what we need and what our demands are for energy. In fact, our sustainability is down about eighty percent of what it was in twenty nineteen whencrats past their green agenda that build that kind of cut off the amount of fossil fuels we can use.

Encourage people to use other green energy items, but none of that were anything that we could use, I mean that could be effective. It’s not in all of the above strategy. But I wanted to say to you, John, one important thing is their recent numbers came out twenty nine percent roughly of New York State’s energy grid is

fueled by natural gas. Thirty four percent is what is dual fuel. That would be propane, oil and other fossil fuel sources, making that about sixty three sixty four percent. Seventeen percent is nuclear and the other So that makes about eighteen percent hydro. And you add all that up, and we’re talking about almost ninety percent of our entire

state energy grid is fossil fuels, nuclear power, and hydro thanks to Niagara Falls. So only a little less than two percent of our entire state is fueled by solar panels and by windmill So what are we doing? How can we tell everybody to upstate New York that we can’t use fossil fuels when New York City ninety five

percent of your energy grid in New York City comes from natural gas, which you bring up the west Side Pipeline, west Side Highway. There’s a pipeline there, and yet upstate New York is only thirty percent dependent on natural gas, and we’re really putting ourselves in a tough situation when it comes to baseload power and the ability to get energy,

and energy is going to be the future of our state. We cannot sustain ourselves at this rate and still be a prosperous state. And I really worry about that. I worry about the brownouts, the blackouts, and the inability to even grow our communities because we don’t have the energy that we need in order to have a future. And

that’s what really keeps me up at night, especially in enough state, in New York, as we continue to see the independent service operators warning the state of New York repeatedly about this situation, and the Democrats on their Green Agenda, and allbody, including the governor who won’t say no, does the same thing.

Speaker 1 The Green Agenda is dead because it’s proved false. You know. I mean these windmills, these windmills, and I spoke to Les Alden, these windmills of ruining the environment on the on the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean where they’re trying to put them in. They’re killing the whales. They’re ruining the environment and those things really don’t work and increase

the amount of cost of electricity by two three percent.

Speaker 2 Yeah, it’s insane. Well there, and they’re providing a negligible of any kind of amount of energy to the country or to the state. When as I said, between all of the solar and by the way, you know there’s solar field. There’s huge amounts of solar fields all over upstate New York. Not all of them are hooked up

to the energy grid right now. So millions and millions, hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies, taxpayer money went to build these solar farms. A lot of most of the persons coming from us. Yes, they’re not even hooked up to the grid.

Speaker 1 They’re not even hooked up to the grid. But we gave all these tax credits on and took up all this agricultural land.

Speaker 2 Absolutely many of them aren’t have been hooked up to the grid. We have co generation plans that need to be operating, and the cellar panels aren’t even hooked up to the grid. They’re out there, they’re sitting there.

Speaker 1 Well, this is a.

Speaker 2 Case a ton of money, This.

Speaker 1 Is a case for the US Attorney in Albany because I had them on the show on Thursday because of the fact that they tried to blow up or the Aubany Center. Isn’t that true?

Speaker 2 Well, yeah, remember this thing is john if you hook some of every one of these has to be permitted. So until it gets permitted and they can hook it up to the grid and the grid can handle all of this electrification that is coming through. That is the problem.

We don’t have the resources. And another thing is everyone’s complaining about their energy bills. Look at what’s called the delivery charges on your energy bills. It’s packed with things from the CLC, which is a Democrats bill. It’s packed with those things in it. And those are the problems that we’re having trying to get those getting that those

things online, or trying to comply with that because we don’t have the electrification and the power lines to handle The Democrats dream of endless electrification and the elimination of fossil fuels, which by the way, natural gas we have abundant supplies which we can’t touch. They’ve brought down emissions.

It gives us baseload power. We’ve had to give exemptions out and pipelines created for various building projects. In fact, the largest building project in New York history, the Micron plant with advanced semic conductor chips to be built there.

You know we’re giving exemptions out. Why aren’t we giving this to every New Yorker. Everyone should have the opportunity to get access to the wonder of natural gas. But yet we’re the only state with reserves like we have that don’t allow our own citizens to benefit from.

Speaker 1 You need some common sense in orbany and if we were, we’re doing all those those solar farms and they’re not even hooked up to the grid, then you know, is it a case for the US Attorney?

Speaker 2 I mean, I don’t know if it’s a US attorney Chase, let’s see why there’s if there’s actually a backlaw, check into it, chase of not putting those things out.

Speaker 1 Check into it and let us know. And thank you for coming on this Sunday morning, and let’s pray for our city, our state, our country when we both go to Churchill later on today.

Speaker 2 Well, thank you so much. In God bless
