And thousands of our listeners have thanked doctor Micheloes for well giving him tips and how to live longer. And doctor Peter uh tell us today what what is today’s advice?

Speaker 2 Well, today, John, we’re going to talk about a fascinating area that’s very interesting thing that file and that’s the ulcer disease. And basically how we’ve moved away from eating from farm to the table. And because of our diet and not eating farm to table, the process foods, the seed oils, the various spices, the salty foods, we’ve changed

the way we functioned that we’ve changed the way we eat. We actually hit if of a potassium based diet where we would eat feet and we would hunt with plants, we had more diverse electrolytes, and now we’ve moved our diets.

And then also other things that have been introduced into the human condition are things like smoking. For example, smoking now they found out that it makes the pancreas produce less fluids and neutralized stomach acid. Stomach acid. Ultimately starts chewing away on our intentional lining. They found recently also that it lowers the blood floats in the stomach lining

and that reduces the helpful healing chemicals. The other thing they found the smokers have more severe ulc and medicine works slower for them, and heavy smoking raises the risk of dangerous bleeding or holes in the stomach wool. And we also now know in modern times, we know about alcohol and we found that drinking in flames that erodes

the protective barrier inside the stomach, and it also raises stomach acid production. I would say also recently.

Speaker 1 Smoked and alcohol smoked. It affects the panqueous. That affects the the way the pancueous feeds acids, the positive acids to the stomach and in apphol Now is that really causing ulcers?

Speaker 2 It basically weakens The things that are the most common are non steroidal anti inflammatories, like if you profer that pain killers, they arose the stummach. What the alcohol of smoking does is if we get this for example, if you don’t have flood flow, you can’t heal them. And smoking constrict why smokers when they get cut, it takes

them longer to heal when they get a cold and avonia, they don’t heal is which so it affects the weakness the ability to repair. But some of the most direct things are things like the non steroidals that we talked about, and there’s also a bacteria called H. Pylori and that’s why many times when they do endoscopy, they also take

a sample and they grow in the laboratory and they see if there is any H. Pylori and then they have to give you a specific antibiotics to kill those bad bacteria which are also associated with eroded heals. Interestingly, in ancient times they used the Greek chios on pica gum, and they did modern studies than they found that the

Greek kios on seaca gum is also able to kill those H. Pylori bacteria. But now other things we’re finding out that certain microbiome and bacteria. When they test the gun microbiome. They tested the centenarians, the people who lived to be one hundred years old, and they found those people at certain into the levels of bacteria. And now

if you test the microbiome and you give people the proper probiotics, they’re finding that sometimes their reflux gets better, their stomach gets better, their ulcers get better. So we’re learning more and more about that, and we’re going to find out more and more in the next few years.

And in the future we’re going to go in and there’s even a company that are doing breath analysis will you’ll freeze into the machine and it will tell you whether you have colon cancer, lung cancer, sepsis, and even tell you possibly if you have hpylori or certain bacteria.

Their risk factors. We now know, for example, one fan bacteria and the stomach and mouth will peach eingin ousi is associated with Alzheimer’s disease, and other bacteria were actually found in hard plaques that cause.

Speaker 1 It’s the bottom line, doctor spak or McCoy from Star Trek. Their machine, it tells you everything you know is coming true.

Speaker 2 Yeah, no, it’s happening as we speak. And I think of Star Trek all the time where they just scan over your bodies and there are handheld machines that can analyze ultrasounds and you can see what’s going on the belly.

So there’s amazing things happening medicine. It moves at warp speed and that’s why people have to keep listening to your show to get updated on all the exciting U trends. And of course there are a lot of medicines we didn’t mention, like PPI from the tom pump inhibitors that can also stop the acid production to help the ulcers heal.

And also master miles diet farm to the table also helps you heel avoiding those processed foods, avoiding the heavy spicy foods and continue to know Mediterranean diet. Olive oil is also healing tho tablespoon today in the morning is what I do. It also activates the anti agent longevity gen So all these are exciting things that we’re learning

more about science and learning how to heal our bodies so we can live to the udreds.
