Automated transcript · uncorrectedWhat is today is Dick Morris, one of the smartest guys I know. He was a confidant to President Letting a confidant to President Trump and tell us, Dick Morris, we got like thirty four days ago left before the election, thirty five days.
Where the heck are we? Definitely well, if this word chess match John and Trump was in the match, as he would be justified and calling check. Not checkmate yet, but check because he’s within glass for Victually. In the last two weeks have been very good for Trump. He’s overcome the negatives from the debate and he’s doing very
focused on message and Hallis hasn’t said the damn thing.
Well. I was with President Trump the other day for lunch, and his comment, and I agreed with it, was that the Republicans had a big July to Democrats and Kamala had a big August. But now it’s things have come home to roost and people realize that maybe she can’t handle the job.
Yeah, I think that’s true. I think that’s absolutely true. And I think that Trump has done a very good job of filling in the blanks about his issue positions. He’s floated proposals like no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social Security benefits, and other stuff that I think are very popular, and he has
be very helpful to him. And the New York Times Siena poll came out just a few weeks a week or two ago, which is a very reliable poll in my view, and they said that Trump has gone from tide in Georgia to five ahead and from four behind in Arizona. It’s a forehead. I think those are very
important trend lines, and of course those a crucial states. If he wins those states, he’s twenty electoral votes shy of a victory. And and if he wins those states, that shows that a momentum that I think is going to carry over to the Northern States. But you know, John, as his chances of victory increase, I think the Danes
will fraud increases. I think that the Democrats are increasingly seeing that no they can’t to see Trump to denomination, No they can’t sideline his candidacy, No they can’t lock him up, and know they can’t kill them. And I think that what they’re going to do is try to flood the polls, the.
Flood calls with non non closure is at the best way to say as non citizens.
That’s right. I think that they’re they’re planning a massive effort to do that, and so does Trump think that that’s a lot? And I think what we need to do is to tell everybody who is a non citizen that if you attempt to vote, you’re incurring serious criminal penalties and a serious chance of deportation. And I’ve been
pushing that and we’ve raised a great deal of money to put posters all over the place. The organization is called legal Vote Funds dot com. Legal Vote I’m sorry, vote legal fund dot com. Excuse vote legal fund dot com.
Because as our chances of winning increase, our chances of losing it to theft also increase.
Understood, Now you’re on a noontime today on Sunday between twelve and two, what do you to be talking about?
Well, we’ll be talking about a lot of things, but one of the most exciting things is that Trump is basically proposing a fundamental, fundamental change in our nations of taxation, where he’s talking about basically replacing taxes with tariffs, in other words, making foreigners pay for access to the American market and using that to replace tax revenues. He’s running
around the country making exorbitant promises to people of additional benefits. And one thing is Donald Trump always teach his work. So the issue is how he can afford it. And I think the key thing here is that he’s looking to use TIFFs to do it. There was a crucial development for three years ago when he imposed big tariffs
on China. Everybody in the US said, oh my god, they’re going to retaliate and wipe us out, and they retaliated. But he’s had no effect. We had no inflation, and we said we had no economic recession. So I think Trump is really going to go to town using that, and I think he’s going to see fundamental change in
taxes from one that’s based on Texas to one that’s based on tellis Well.
Dick Morris. I’ll be listening at noontime today Sunday, and you’re in one hundred and seventy seven countries and fifty states on your iPhone at seventy seven WABC on your computer, what is it WABC radio dot com and in the New York Tristate area, well seven seventy am on your dial.
Thank you so much Dick, thank you
