Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell with us today is former Congressman John Fasso and also Minority leader of the State Senate, and he’s got a lot on his mind. Proposition one is coming up in nine days, John Fasso, nobody knows what the words Proposition one is. Can you tell it to all our voters? Yes?
I can, John, Great to be with you and your listeners today. Prop one is a trojan horse. It is a ballot measure, a constitutional amendment that the Democrats have put on the ballot this November. They say it’s to protect abortion rights, and yet abortion rights were legalized in New York State in nineteen seventy by the state legislature
and they’re not under any threat. But actually, what this amendment does it will seriously impair and limit parental rights over healthcare decisions for their minor children. It will mean that biological males will be able to play and have a constitutional right to play on girls and women’s sports teams.
It will cruise.
A man can go on a women’s sports team and be okay if.
They identify as transgender. That’s right, because this amendment would put in the constitution of our state a constitutional right to non discrimination for what’s called gender identity and gender expression, and that means and there’s no limit on age here, john So, a minor, a fifteen year old could go into court and say, my parents won’t let me get
puberty blockers. I’m a boy, but I believe I’m a girl and I want to change my gender. A constitutional right applying to all persons will give a privilege to that person. And it could be a minor, a fifteen or sixteen year old person who says I want to change my gender, my parents won’t let me. But because
they have this new constitutional right and it applies to everyone, regardless of age, they would be able to assert that right to transgender treatments and the parents wouldn’t have any say in it. And it’s really shocking the other thing Johnny would do. So.
In other words, they’re trying to give the kids right, the right to become transgender without the parents knowing, to.
Have health care transgender treatments without the parents’ permission. That’s exactly right.
And my god, I mean, if I was younger and my daughter was fourteen years old, I’d get a Rocky Colvino bat and hit somebody because I would be mad at tech.
Well, I think parents are astonished that right now, the state Education Department in Albany has a rule to all the school districts saying if a child says they want to change their gender in school and they say, I don’t want you to tell my parents, they keep the information from the parents. So this is going on, and
who is pushing it?
Who is pushing it in the state Senate and State Assembly.
The Democrats who controlled the legislature put this proposition, this constitutional amendment on the ballot. Governor Kathy Hochel fully supports this, and they’re lying to people telling them, oh, it’s not going to affect parental rights or have anything to do with girls and women’s sports, but it creates these new constitutional rights that will endanger our young people and will
also self.
Congressman Maso early voting started what today’s Sunday you started yesterday.
That’s correct, and it’s really important.
So Proposition one, make sure you vote no because otherwise, if you have young kids, you’re in danger.
That’s right, and it’s on the back of your ballot. People have to remember to turn their ballot over to vote no on Prop one.
Well, thank you, John Fasso, and I’m going to vote. I’m gonna go early vote myself, and I’m gonna vote no on the proposition. Want to make sure my wife votes, know too. Thank you so much.
Great Thanks John, Thank you Congressman.
