Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday Morning with us is Robert Nanaway, the chairman CEO of Goya Foods, the biggest international Hispanic food company in the world, one of the biggest at least Robbie Nanaway, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and uh, there’s so many things going on. The election is over. The Hispanic community took a big, big position on the election.
Tell us how you feel and how you feel going forward with the economy. Are we going to make a comeback?
Well, John, have you thanksgiving to you and and you know, we have so many things to be thankful and yes we’re a big company. But what you’ve done with WBC Radio and taken it to that number one position is it’s just awesome with with your insight and great programming and great people. Yes, you know this election and again
there’s so many things to be thankful for and you can already feel the uh, you know, the change. Last week, Tom Holman was at the border in Texas with Governor Abbott and he says, you know, game on, we need to secure our borders. We’re a country of laws. We’re a country of immigrants, but we’re a country of laws.
And you know this is that was one of the factors that was very important to the Latino community because the Latina Latino community in this country, which were the second largest Hispanic country world after Mexico. You know there they’ve come to this country. We’ve come to this country in the right way, the legal way, and you know,
we’re opening our borders. Our communities are not safe. I’ve worked forty eight years of my life. If I were to get a Social Security check, it doesn’t equal the amount that if an illegal come into this country doesn’t work a minute. Automatically, they got thirty eight hundred dollars of benefits. They can stay in nice, warm hotels while
we have Americas sleeping on the street.
It was not the right thing to do. We should take care of the American people first before we take care of people that are not really supposed to be here.
Exactly. And you know, so that was one big thing. The other was the economy. And you sounded the alarm day one, John when you said this war on fossil fuels and you’re involved in energy and everything in media and groceries began. And by the way, you and I are not quarters are not gouchers with a very low
percentage profit in the food business and thank god for other businesses. Right, But you know you sounded the alarm from day one under the War of fossil fuels. It created incredible inflation and it’s still, you know, a problem, and it remained a problem. And I think the fact that that was the problem, the open border.
The open border with all the microants coming through unchecked.
It opened the eyes of all the Latinos, all Americans. You know, I did all.
I did a discussion with sid Rosenberg on Monday, and I came up the new battle cry of the Republic. Immigration, Yes, invasion, No, We’ve got to go back to the days of Ellis Island and being able to check checks and balances of who’s coming in.
And John is not only invasions, it’s exploitation. A two year old children coming over the border and they’re all being sold. This a two hundred and fifty billion dollar business which is drugs and trafficking, and we are complicit.
This is testimony from people in this country saying that the US Mexico are complicit in this. There’s people making money on this, exploiting the children for money and for power. But over forty six percent Overall, the Hispanic community voted for Donald Trump. Fifty six percent were men. They were fed up with the exploitation, with poverty. We’ve come to
this country as legal immigrants for opportunity and prosperity, only to find it taken away. And we’re opening our doors to people who we need to feed, and we need to help ourselves first. We can’t open our homes to people come in and want to hurt us if we want to come in. Like my grandfather who started Goya Foods,
he came to this country to work, to prosper to contribute, not to take. You know, even even JFK said, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. He sounded like a Republican back then.
Understood. I mean, I don’t think JFK would not be welcomed right now in this Democratic party. This Democratic Party has to come back to common sense.
And the extremists in the party are the ones that you know, it’s a tail wagging the dog and they don’t even understand why they lost. It’s because they cater to these far extreme policies. You know, the transgenderism, you know, you know people in men’s and women’s bathrooms and things like that. Many thinks we’re moving all these things that
move away from God. We need to value each other. You can talk about abortion, that can be one topic, but if someone is born, we’re not valuing that person. You have a two year old coming over the border, and many many, many year old and younger that’s over the border to be exploited, to be sold, you know,
for sex, for slavery. It’s inhumane, it’s evil. And we’re in the spiritual war, and the war is good against evil. And I think we’re made many steps toward good and loving each other and loving ourselves, loving God, and moving closer to God. We need to do it.
I understand that. And right now, we just have to have control our borders. Don’t allow the Mexicans to send any more drugs across the borders. That killed one hundred thousand Americans. And it’s just it is amazing what went on the last a few years. And hopefully President Trump is going to do the right job for all Americans,
no matter what their skin color is, no matter what their race is, because we need the rule of law to be set right.
And it’s not just in the Mexican is in collaboration with China and other countries. Over one hundred and eighty countries have come across the border because they see our weakness. We have wars all over the place because we are very weak. You know, we need We’re going to get this world back. I think President Trump is not only
the president for this country, He’s a president for the world.
I I agree with you one hundred and ten percent. The terrorists right now are panicking because they know what’s coming. Yeah, Robert, you nanaway, Thank you so much.
Thank you, John Guy, thank you so much.
And I’m glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you so much, you
Too, John Goublass,
