Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell, what is today is Roger Stone and a political consultant, one smart guy and a best selling book. Even the New York Times has acknowledged the best selling book. And Roger has been around with Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, Bob Doe, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. And he’s and he’s younger than me. Roger, give us the status
of what’s going on in Washington.
Well, I think the Washington establishment John is very very upset because Donald Trump has made it very very clear it’s not going to be business as usual. We’re going to have a golden age of reform here. And he is going to rebuild our military strength. He’s going to end the DEI policies that have really virtually destroyed the
strength of our military. He is committed to sealing the border and beginning the deportation to begin with of those who are in the country who have serious criminal records, either in this country or in their country of origin.
He is going to start drilling for oil and gas again, bring down energy prices because he knows that’s the cornerstone of a vibrant economy. And so far, I think his appointments are interesting and provocative to some in the establishment who are kind of used to controlling things. But let’s remember the guy who’s elected president here wasn’t Marco Rubio
or anyone else. It was Donald Trump. And those he’s appointed, I think fully understand their job is not to dilute or down or block his agenda, but more precisely, to enact his agenda. I’ve said this before, John, You’ve heard it.
I think we’re about to enter a golden age of prosperity, a peace, of justice, of security, of opportunity. Our greatest days are very definitely lie ahead.
I agree with you, and I think he’s going to make a better president in twenty twenty four than he would have a twenty twenty because I think those four years he got off Roger, he realized all the mistakes in the first term, and how deep of a state that Washington is, and that he’s going to protect himself
and so many people he’s appointing now in twenty twenty four is because he doesn’t trust the deep state? Is that? I mean, that’s my opinion. How do you think I’m reading it?
I think that’s exactly accurate. Look, he came from the world of business, he admitted that he’d actually only been to Washington a handful of times, and he really didn’t understand that the divide in America today is not between Republicans and Democrats, but between an entrenched system of unelected bureaucrats who want to run our lives and systematically destroy
our constitutional freedoms while they destroy our economy. And outsiders, whether they’re Robert Kennedy and Telsey Gabbard and Rob Burgoyevich, or whether there are people like Rand Paul, for example. And therefore he is building a non elitist government that is more reflective of common sense in the American people.
And this idea that they keep pushing that he’s all about revenge or retribution, I don’t think there’s anything to that. He understands the way to go down in history as one of our greatest presidents is to build the most robust economy in our history. You want to have more money for better schools, That’s how you do it. You
want to have more money for affordable housing, that’s how you do it. So he’s a businessman first, last, and always. And if he this time, I think he’s going to have a full team in which everybody’s pulling in the same direction. He’s got an opportunity to go down with Washington and Lincoln and Jefferson. I always like to say
this Eisenhower, who, as you know, was a much greater president than he was given credit for.
I want to agree with it. By the way, I agree with you on Eisenhower. He was a much, much, much greater president than he was giving credit for.
Well, it’s because he wasn’t flashy, you know, but we had unprecedented peace and prosperity under Ike. He was a great, great president. Doesn’t get the credit for what he deserves.
Understood, Now, somebody the controversial appointments, I’ll tell you, like a guts uh, you had to leave the Congress because you’re coming out with that report. Now, if he goes to Senate confirmation, the Senate is going to ask for that report. So how does he work that out?
You know, I don’t know. I’m not sure I know the answer. I mean, I don’t know. If he’s being brought in for what will in the end be a short term recess appointment in which he does some clean up work for the president, perhaps in regard to the Russian collusion hoax, and actual crimes that were committed there.
I’m not sure I understand completely the thinking behind his appointment, but I do think it’s important to say that he went through an eighteen month investigation by highly politicized and hostile Justice Department, and they could find no real evidence of wrongdoing on his part. They found a lot of allegations, but in our system, you know, people are innocent until
they’re proven guilty, and they couldn’t find any charges against him because they couldn’t find any proof, So I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt. You would think, having gone through that and having emerged from it scathed and by the way, overwhelmingly re elected both the primary and the general election, that he wouldn’t want those issues
reopened because it gives some the opportunity to distort the facts. But he obviously has nothing to fear, Otherwise he would not have allowed them to put his name forward.
Understood, What else you want to tell you American people?
Well, this weekend, I’m going to do something I haven’t done before. At seventy seven WABC and also on the Red Apple Audio Network. I’m going to almost completely take listener questions. I’ve never done that. The late lou Dobbs.
I was always telling me I needed to do more of it. I’m going to have one guest, maybe two, but I find it very popular when people are allowed to call in. I’ve never done I’ve always done one segment.
This Sunday, I’m going to do substantially more so. I hope folks will call in and there’s no topic that’s off the table. You got to keep it clean, obviously, but whether you want to talk about politics or history or food for that matter, I’m going to take all questions.
It’s gonna be something a little different this weekend.
Rogerstone, thank you for everything you do for our country. God bless America, and I’ll be listening to you later on.
Thanks John, God bless you.
