Well, the big thing that I think is going on right now is that the well, the Democrats are frantically searching for way to dump Biden. The New York Times Sieno poll just showed Trump leading Biden by six points, twice the amount that he led him pre debate. And because there’s a building advantage of three points for a
Republican in the electoral college, it means probably we’re nine heads, which is a gigantic landslide on the order of Roosevelt versus land In or Reagan versus Mondale. And uh, it’s just huge. And I think the Democrats are going to redouble their search and get more frantic because they realize now if they’re going to wipe out their House and
Senate majority, probably forgetically generation because all the House members of the tenure will be defeated, and there’s twenty three senators up, so almost half of their Senate delegation.
What I can’t understand there’s not a common sense Democrats out there. How come they have never objected.
Before, Well, they’ve never had this kind of margin over their heads before. They could always delude themselves that they could win, and now they can’t. And I think at the moment they’re even putting out poles that are basically rigged and are basically inaccurate to show this is a neck and neck type race and not much changed since
the debate. And we’ve all been waiting for the New York Times Siena poll to tell us the truth of what’s really happening, and we just found out that it’s say six point Trump league, which is twice what it was it was three and six points, as I said, becomes basically nine in the real world. And I think
that the Democrats or unable to find the candidate. They were unable to get Biden to withdraw. If he doesn’t withdraw voluntarily, they probably cannot put together the coalition to get rid of him. And that’s the dilemma they sup, that’s what that’s the place they’re frozen. And I don’t think they’re going to be able to resolve that before
their convention or at all now.
If Biden. If Biden bugs out, if he decides that he doesn’t want to fight, I mean, I don’t understand because Jill Biden, his wife and his son, has moved into the White House to keep encouraging him to run. Now, well, how can people vote for Joe Biden where he looks as bad as he does and then you get Kamala Harris.
Yeah, they can’t for Joe Biden. And by the way, he’s going to look worse and worse because dementia is a progressive disease and in four months to look even worse than he does now and sound even worse. I think that the and I think the Democrats or in a crisis like they’ve never been in before. And I
think that in terms of why somebody might vote for Biden, Look that some people voted for Petterman, who’s half dead, can’t get a word out, can’t speak anything, and he carried Pennsylvania. So Democrats are usual or often willing to put up with anything. They vote for a dead man.
But I think that it’s but they’re not enough of them. And it’s clear that Trump will to speak Biden by a lot, and the Democrats have that reality staring them in in the face, and there’s really nothing they can do about it. There’s been some speculation about Michelle Obama.
Doug Dug my radio mate, and I have talked about that quite a bit. But and there is a poll out that shows Obama beating Trump, Michelle Beatings beating Trump. But the more reliable data is McLaughlin who shows Michelle losing.
Michelle losing to Trump by three points, and that’s probably the accurate number, and she probably is not going to run with that number of stealing her in the pay It’s the Democrats the deathlate and they are lot of options. Man, this is really the gemne of the death of the Democratic Party.
Well, they don’t have much of a bench except I guess, uh, the governor Newsom in California. And I mean, what’s the advertised we’re going to do. We’re going to do to arrest of the country when we did the California.
Yeah, that’s right. Well, they bother themselves with Gretchen Wima where her husband arrested basically for violating the cursers and h and there are a bunch of a bunch of possible candidates. But the problem is that they would if that, Biden won’t move out number one, and it’s very hard to get rid of him if he won’t do it voluntarily.
You need half of the cabinet, and you need two thirds of each house, which means you need unionimity in the Democratic Party, and there are no way is near having that. And if they do get rid of Biden, they have Michelle, they have Kamala, who runs about six or seven points worse than Biden. So the Democrats are
absolutely facing destruction here. I’m not sure I see an exit strategies.
So the Republicans, I mean, Trump is very strong right now. He’s probably going to pick a very strong vice president. Have you got any feelings on that?
I serious strong. My guests would be Marco Rubio because there’s been talked that he might move to be able to run from a state other than Florida.
Well, yeah, he’s got a residence in New York and he’s got a residence in New Jersey.
So yeah, the constitution says the president and vice president candidate have to be some different states otherwise you can’t county electoral votes. So that’s possible, and I think it’s and I think Rubio maybe Detroite not the best choice, but it’s detroits and I think that, and I think the good thing is he’s been vested. I’m not going
to find some mistress in the closet, some skeleton there.
And Doug Burnham is very strong and he’s got a lot of money on hand. And young Kin is very strong in Virginia, and if you could turn Virginia, that’s important too.
Yeah, those are both very important. But you know young Kins. Burnham is from North Carolina, which has all of three electoral votes. Yeah, and he’s not vested because there’s no press in North Carolina, no press in North Dakota, like being vetted by your high school newspapers. So I’m not sure that Burnham should get that. But I don’t know.
But the point that’s interesting to me is just as the Democratic Party basically faced its own death after losing the Civil War and back in the South, I think they are now in a very similar this way. And I’m not sure that the party survived. I think the Blacks, really, I think the Hispanics have left. The abortion issue, which
was holding the women is going away because the court has approved to kill and one hundred and two hundred thousand women each month get abortions in the neighboring state. And the number of abortions in the US rose didn’t drop.
It rows by one hundred thousand in the last month, in the last year, one hundred thousand per month. And so this is the ascendancy of Republican Party and I think it’s a decent into the Democrats.
Dick Morris, I’ll be listening to you at twelve noon to two o’clock on WABC this Sunday morning, and I look forward to listening to you.
Thank you so
