Will this today is doctor Peter Mihlos and our motto live wrong and prosper Doctor Milos, I hope you had a great holiday weekend. I mean, we’re the last day of the weekend on Sunday. Give us some tips. What are we gonna do this weekend to live long and prosper well.
One of the very interesting findings is during barbecue, many of the meats and things that get cooked on the barbecue, you notice when things get really blackened and you notice that charred material, just like with burnt bacon or burnt burgers.
Turns out that that material, that blackened material, when proteins like meat are heated up, those actually turn into these nitric compounds that are carcinogenic. These nitrite like compounds that turn out to be probably carcinogenic. And also they stress out the whole immune system, so when they go into the gut, the gut doesn’t really know how to process
them because those don’t really occur in nature. It’s not like a salad or a fruit or a piece of meat that’s not totally current. So that’s something to be aware of. And on top of that, during the barbecues, we all get tempted sometimes to squirt on that ketchup, But most ketchup, unless you look at the label, is
filled with high fructose corns there. So especially if you’re pre diabetic or diabetic, you might not think of ketchup. Some people think of ketchup as a food. But yes, there are some tomatoes in it. But the reason it tastes so good is because it’s loaded and also some of.
The fast food it’s loaded with sugar. It is it’s loaded with sugar. That’s why I don’t do ketchup. And what does sugar do to your body? It goes directly twenty tumors you have and make the tumor and feeds the tumors.
Right, And that’s why they’ve shown that fast thing reduces your glucose, so it makes it harder for tumors to grow because they don’t have as much food. When they did a study and they gave it to pancreatic cancer patients and they radioactively labeled the sugar. Guess where it went directly to the tumor because they multiply so fast
that they demand a lot of sugar. But we’ve shown now and the studies are getting stronger and stronger in humans. There’s a lot of animal studies that fasting helps glucose control, it reduces inflammation because it turns out a lot of disease is involved in inflammation. And during the fest as we’ve talked about on other shows, there’s cellar repair and
cell repair and going after cancer cells and going after dead and dying cells which generate inflammation. It’s like having rotted old cells and then you just clean them up and get rid of them and make new fresh cells.
And also cancer and heart disease prevention, and even people with inflammatory bowel disease, they seem to be doing better when they’re not constantly throwing food at the bowel and they give the intestinal lining a chance to recover. Also neurological declines that people who just don’t have as much in their gut all the time, they seem to do
better neurologically. And also when animals are hunting like fox or a lion, they’re more alert sometimes when they’re hungry, because naturally we don’t we’re not designed to eat. Practice, you’re super alert in the morning. You got to god and hunt, bring the food in, eat by the afternoon and put it away by the evening, So that’s all
very interesting. In the sixteen to eight hours, the eight hours of eating with sixteen hours of fast thing seems to be the most popular. And there’s even a place out in Oregon that is done studies and people with solid tumors, they put them on fast and they have cat scans and MRIs that show that they were able
to actually shrink the tumors of solid tumors using fast. So that’s something to consider and talk about with your doctor. It’s always good to get a baseline kind of lab work and do it under a doctor’s supervision, and then you can watch your labs get better and things get better and things improve. And also the alcohol is a
big issue because alcohol also is a way to raise your blood sugar super high. On the holidays, people are sipping on their tequila in their roseic. But guess what. The body only uses whatever calories they will the rest its stores. And that’s why we have our gut in our midsection. When we eat a lot and we eat
more calories than we take in, we store it as fat, but it’s not as healthy. And it turns out that that abdominal visceral fat is also hormonal and it affects cortisone levels, it reduces testosterol levels and men So we’re learning a lot more about what turns the longevity genes on, what turns them off, the diet, when we eat, how
often we eat, and it’s a fascinating area. But on this wonderful celebration of America fourth of July, we just remind people to try to eat healthy, not overdo it with their hot dogs and burgers. And when you have an option to get grass fed beef or meat that’s not processed with hormones and antimotics, that is much healthier
and it will help longevity and reduce disease in the long run.
Doctor Peter Mihillos, thank you for your input and I’ll meet you at the age.
Of one hundred, God willing, and thank you for always getting the truth out and keeping our audience healthy on the Cats round here,
