Speaker 1 Well was this this morning, Sunday morning, Charlie Gasparino. So many things are happening in the financial industries and his new books Go Woke, Go Broke. I really believe in it. I think we should send it to every college professor out there, Charlie Sunday morning. How do you feel?

Speaker 2 I feel pretty good. I know about you. I mean, I think, you know, free market capitalism has been given a boost. I think the American people saw, through the media spit, Kamala Harrison might be the most unqualified presidential contender ever. I mean, at least in the last you know, in modern history, like since we were born, at least

we were bored, and that’s a long time. I mean, it really was a joke. They tried to make it as a campaign of vibe and joy and pratt and all these real these stupid sort of cliches that the media brought. You know, New York Magazine put out its cover.

If you want to know just how we were relevant to mainstream media is now that’s all you have to do is look at how they got behind Kamala Harris, how the American people rejected it. Trump, for all his negatives, still want to popular vote because of that rejection quite frankly, because most people think that that’s on paper, and you know,

just as a as a purely on his record was much better and the alternative was really bad, not just because Kamala Harris was bad, because you know, leftism is bad and it it led to a lot of bad things.

I mean, I don’t care, you know, John, I keep having these same conversations with rich Manhattan knights, who is before the election. They’re saying something different now and they’re mostly liberal, and they’ll tell me like, look at this restaurant.

We’d be at Ilios, Manhattan, a very good restaurant Manhattan, the Iliosa. It’s greatfood. Well it’s fact. Because there’s great food. People spent a lot of money. And they say this is because economy on the Biden is so great. I said, how many construction workers are eating in here? How many bus drivers, how many day laborers, how many people who

work at home depot? I mean, how many people that actually put food on our table actually work here? These are this is a place filled with speculators in the stock market. I’m not wrong with that. I write about them.

Some of they are some of my best friends. But there was two economies. There was the real economy, there was the Wall Street economy. The real economy of the Biden and Harris didn’t do very well. She clearly couldn’t articulate the case why it did well. I don’t think anybody could, but particularly She’s particularly in neft set. And

what we have here is a guy that articulated the case that the economy was better when he was running things and deregulating, cutting taxes and take it on China one. And you know, I’m surprised in the sense that I logically when I was thinking about it, John, I was like, Okay, she’s got a billion. She did. She rated a billion

in three months. Since you know, Joy Hope and Joy came onto the political theme when they kicked Joe Biden to the curb. They have a very good ground game, which they they did. I mean, they have a lot of people knocking on doors in swing states. I I gave her the edge, and I told you this on

the air, and I always would temper that by saying, here’s how the Trump people say they’re then win and why But I you know, in my head, I gave her the edge, and think about what Trump did he beat that edge, and that was like a big edge.

It’s not just the mainstream media, which is big. It’s not just you know, the culture. The culture was against Donald Trump, all the all the chattering cultural classes, you know, academia, media, you name it, entertainment obviously Santa Night Live, running ads in the in the disguise and gets for Kamala Harris.

But a billion dollars and a ground game and he beat that as well. That is trully amazing. And uh well, you know, because the way was with him.

Speaker 1 The American people were angry. They were angry and on the price of gasoline, you were angry, and the price of interest rates. They were angry at the migrants coming in because of the murderers and in the criminals that were coming in. So they were overall they were angry.

Speaker 2 And you know what else, they were angry with John and you could see it. They were angry at being gas lit, being lied to, being told everything is fine when it’s not. It reminds me of that scene in Animal House when Kevin Bacon, a young Kevin Bacon is the cop where you know it’s at the end of

the movie where people are going nuts when they’re you know, when they’re you know, essentially causing a riot in that college town, and he goes, all is fine, and then like a crowd of people just run them over flat.

That’s kind of what here. People were tired of being lied to. You know, you can just tell someone all day that you know, things are really great under Joe Biden. Don’t worry about the inflation is going down. Inflation is painted.

We did it, as Joe Biden said, and then most people know, well, inflation, that rate might be going that, but damn, these prices are still way too high. And that’s because of you mis divided and it’s just and Kamala Harris, who took who was the tie breaking vote on all those below out spending unnecessary spending practices that

bills that essentially stoked inflation along with easy money from the said, so here we are. Now, the question is where do we go from here?

Speaker 1 Right? Where are we going? And how long? I mean interest rates went down to quarter a point? The market didn’t feel it.

Speaker 2 Yeah, So let’s let’s let’s talk about markets a little bit because it’s really interesting and I think this is where the Trump people are going to have to make the sale to the bond market, because as you know now, the Fed could control short term rates, it could control it could try to control law term rates too by

essentially buying or selling its massive book portfolio treasury sect treasury securities. But the markets also really control the ten and the thirty and all those are the important interest rates that that credit cards and mortgages are tagged on.

So what’s going on right now the stock market? Stock traders like the Trump agenda of deregulation and tax studs, and the stock traders generally think that’s going to overwhelm any sort of negative effect of tarriffs, and many stoctorers believe he’s not going to go and I know this just from talking to them. He’s going to use towers

as a negotiating tool. Got them across the board, sort of shot across the bow, like he’ll just post thirty percent torrifs on everything, Like he’ll focus on China. It’ll be targeted. And that’s what stock try to say. The the bob market traders are saying, no, no, no, no, we don’t think so we’re taking him at his word. He’s

going to do thirty percent or twenty percent across the board and sixty percent on China. It’s going to be more than just targeted. It’s it’s not going to be saber rattling, and you know, case by case basis. So I mean, I think this is kind of where the Trump team will eventually have to step up. Where are

they going with this? My guess, I think it’ll be what he did in twenty sixteen. It’ll be case by case. Listen, Mexico, you don’t, uh, you don’t stop the illegals from coming across the border, Well, we might slap a thirty percent tarif on all your goods. China. You you steal our intellectual property, keeps stealing it, Well, you know your goods

might get sixty But if you don’t do that, it’s back to zero or whatever it is. Now. You know what I’m saying that I think I’m pretty sure I could be wrong that he will use this as a negotiating tool, because if you know anything about Trump, you know, for all his bluster and some of the stuff that

comes out of his mouth, pretty pragmatic when it comes to and he’ll do it this pragmatically. That’s my guest, And.

Speaker 1 I think you’re right Charlie, Well, I think I think Mike Johnson is going to control the U the uh Congress in the next House a few days in the House and that way. So what’s up to us to save America?

Speaker 2 And Republicans definitely have the fifty three states, the fifty three Senate seats, which because McCormick won in Pennsylvania, finally eats out of it. But you know that was a huge victory. You know, he helped Trump win in that state too. Know, he provided he was a smart he ran a smart campaign. He’s a smart guy. He’s going

to be an up and comer in Congress. In I’m Capitol Hill, you know. And it’s uh, you know, the future looks frite. I mean, I’m I’m feeling pretty good. Yeah, you know, life, life takes interesting turns. We don’t know that.

We don’t know all the future, but we do know this, John, what was the past? We are unburded. I’m going to quote a very famous intellectual scholar who we are unburded by the past right now and being unbirded by four years of Kamala Hahris Joe Biden in of itself is a good thing. Give him what the monstrosity of garbage

that they created, literally from day one with that ridiculous withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was maybe the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean that you can want to end wars, you don’t end them like that.

Speaker 1 Well, Johnny, Guyshperino, thank you and God blessed America. We ask for God’s blessing. I think we got it and let’s catch up again real soon anytime.

Speaker 2 John thank you for having

Speaker 1 Oh Well Go Broke, a great book for all you Gotsperno
