Judge Weinberg Sunday morning, Are things getting better? I mean, I know both of us were very upset what’s been happening in
the last few years, and you tell us about it.
Well, I’m very hopeful that with a new administration we’ll have the end of the rule of lawlessness, law fair. Get all these false allegations made against Donald Trump, both criminally and civilly cases that were meant to destroy any possibility he had of winning the presidency again. Most of these cases have been resolved in his favor. Some are
still alive and well alive and well as a ridiculous case that was brought by the Attorney General of the State of New York under the executive Law, a very bad law which has never been used this way on a matter that had no relevance at all because there was no injury to anybody. The banks knew exactly what
they were doing, and they had chased him because they said he had paired the value of his real estate holdings. The fact of the matter is the banks did independent due diligence. Nobody was hurt, they were all paid back, and they were more than happy to continue to do business with Donald Trump. Of four hundred odd million dollars,
I think it was a four hundred and thirty four million dollars judgment against him on that that’s on appeal. The Pell Division and New York Court Appeal should set that case atside. There was no injury and there’s no damages, there’s no reliance. It was a pure nonsense case. The Alvin Bragg case that was brought against him, again a
bad case never should have been allowed to happen. A good judge would have dismissed it at a hand. And this was a judge who was compromised because his daughter worked for a Democratic party. He should have accused himself.
The venue was wrong, there was a conviction, and there was bad evidence that was allowed in including privileged communications under the executive privilege. And there’s immunity as said by the Supreme Court. So those are two outstanding cases.
The Georgia cass so they specifically the Department of Justice or specifically went after him even though he was a past president, even though he was the leader of being the leading candidate and has become the president elect, and just to try to destroy him absolutely.
And they also try to use the judicial process to block him from being on the ballot. So every way you turn, they were using lawfare against Donald Trump. I am hopeful that will be over. The other thing that concerns me is how the Biden administration willfully disregarded lawful court orders, judicial decisions and ignored them. They were also,
for example, on these student loans, there was no authority for the President United States to unilaterally by executive action without authorization by Congress, just set aside these student loans. Had no right to do that, and they kept keep doing that.
Where are the bar associations who carries the pulpit for them? For all the lawyers in the world.
Well, you’re exactly right. The bar associations sat on the hands, did nothing. They should have spoken up. For example, under the Federal Constitution, the obligation of the President United States is to protect and defend the borders of this country, the integrity of this country against a foreign invasion. You’ve had over twenty million people akin to an invasion. That’s
why people like Governor Abbott and Governor Sentist did they had to do to protect their states from this invasion. And what happened in terms of the use of lawfare against these governors they sued The United States Department Justice under Garland sued was absolutely reprehensible. Another example is when they try to fix the cases involving Hunter Biden, and
you had the US Attorney later in the Special Council, Weiss fixed the case, so the statute of limitations ran against it.
Now, the other thing that we were emotional about, both of us, was that President Biden wants to give a pardon to people that were not convicted. How can you Is that doable?
Well, it’s doable, but it’s reprehensible because he’s having these blanket preemptive pardons and he’s doing The numbers are enormous. He just pardoned or set aside sentences, commuted sentences for fifteen hundred people in one day. Now, I ask you, John, how can you have a lawful process? Because there has to be the process. It has to be reviewed by
the Justice Department, and then there’s a file submit to the presence for his review, and he signed fifteen hundred pardons to commutations in one day. Who gave him that, who reviewed it? And what were the merits you have people?
You had a corrupt judge, corrupt business people, sex traffickers, bad people who were let off the hook by this present misusing the pardon. So this is a very dangerous situation. And they were constantly talking about packing the Supreme Court of the United States. You don’t pack the Supreme Court United States because you don’t like the results. Franklin Roosevelt
tried it, and you don’t go after people who are doing their job as judges. So he attacked the judiciary itself. So the combination of all of these acts, John, there has been an attack on the integrity of the judicial system and law enforcement and a fair and honest judiciary.
And hopefully, to answer your question, the rule of law is so important for civilized society and our democracy. It has to be protected. And I’m very hopeful to Donald Trump and his Attorney General to be Pam Bunda, the former Attorney General State of Florida, will do the right thing and protect the American people through the rule of law.
To do the right thing by all people, and like we’ve said always that justice should be blind. You should not be able to tell the person the color of their skin to judge them exactly right, Thank you, Judge Richard Blinberg, Sunday morning. I’m glad we have this discussion and we should do it more.
Thank you,
