Speaker 1 Sunday morning with this is doctor Peter Milos and live wrong and prosper a few days till Twistmas and ten days in the new year. Oh, doctor Milos, what is your year? In prayers and advice for all of us?

Speaker 2 Oh, my prayers that we don’t get another pandemic as was recently reported a few days ago in Louisiana, someone who is handling wild birds and poultry on a farm developed a severe case of the H five N one flu, which we talked about recently on the Cats Roundtable that has jumped to cats, cows, and now humans and it’s mutating.

So far there’s no human to human transmission in table, there’s sixty one reported cases. The good news is that borrel of Sammi flu ostil mouth there seems to work against it one quart early and they have an inhaled anti viral called xeno xana mavie, So that’s the good news about it. But it’s something we have to watch

out for. And they’re following actually raw milk in cows and taking samples and finding it in cows. So that’s why it’s not good. I’ve geared to be drinking raw milk, but we have this type of virus going around. And the thing is it’s important to wash hands and good hygiene is very important. And the next thing we’re going

to talk about. As we’re entering these Christmas season and people are reading all kinds of things, we’re learning much more about the oral microbiome, also called the aural alone, which is an interesting name for it. And they’re finding that if you have bad bacteria or whether we have this biosis or more bad bacteria inside your mouth and breads,

it seems that if you have any dental problems, it can enter the bloodstream and generate inflammation clog arteries and close inflammation in the walls of the heart. And that’s why rushing at least twice a day, getting dental cleanings every six months, and watching for the signs of bleeding, swollen gums, loose teeth, the face to part teeth, and

also bad breath is a sign of it. And we talked a lot about mouthwashes, but now they’re learning to become more sophisticated. I recently actually tried when I was reading about a marine bioactive mouthwash called all us o las and it has a sea salt seaweed extract. It has orange lemon peel, orange and lemon peel in it,

and the marine bioactive complex which has some natural alergaye, which basically the idea is to feed some of the good bacteria. It also has some peppermint in it which helps with bad breath. So we’re seeing a shift. We’re instead of having these ads for mouthwashes that kill everything, we don’t exactly want to kill everything. We want to

try to feed the good bacteria and knock out some of the bad back so we can avoid just from getting into our bloodstream. And there was a recent dental meeting that doctor bearon doctor Siicarelli, who I know, we’re talking about the oral microbiome, and the actually found certain bacteria in heart valve disease and art flex when they

did autopsies, and it was the same bad bacteria that was found in the mouth. So we encourage our audience to take care of their dental health. Brush often loss often consider using a good mouthwash that is more feeding some of the good bacteria. And there are even probiotic and probiotic tooth space now that we can use to

try to keep a healthy oral microbiome.

Speaker 1 Is he a pro probiotical probiotic mouthwash because you know, you hate to put in alcohol into your mouth because that doesn’t kill the bad also kills a good bacteria.

Speaker 2 Yeah, there is one called all us Olas and it basically has the natural sea salt and the seaweed xtrac and orange and lemon peel, and it has a sea algae which and some peppermints for the breath, and that basically beats some of the better bacteria and doesn’t do as much damage, and it’s basically an oral immune booster

instead of just wiping out like a nuclear attack. Some of these washed mouth washers that just kill everything. So we’re going to be hearing more about that. And also some charcoal based tooth based that have some charcoal in it, which also helped not kill everything, but kill some of the bad bacteria and also help a lot with bad

breath and wipening teeth. So we’re seeing more attention being paid and also certain bad bacteria where they’re higher levels. They found it in pancreatic cancer patients and call in cancer patients, and there are even companies working on analyzing breadth analysis, which has a way to go, but they say that they can diagnose certain cancers just from the

chromatography from the tent, just like certain dogs can smell someone has diabetes, or they say dogs can sniff out cancer. So they’ll be this breath analysis where they’ll be able to analyze our breath. So it’s a new area of science.

We’re going to be hearing a lot more and keep listening to WABC or these interesting health tips because the microbiome is very important, and that’s one of the things, for example, in radiation poisoning, like after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki attacks, the radiation killed a lot of the good bacteria and the mouth and the gut. That’s why people

have all these intestinal problems with radiation poisoning because it damages the microbiome. Fascinating area.

Speaker 1 Fascinating. Well, thank you doctor Peter Milos. Would you have a very merry Christmas and we’ll catch up again soon.

Speaker 2 Thank you John for always getting the truth out on the CATS round Table.
