Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday Morning with us is New York State GOP chairman at Cocks at Cox give us an update what’s going on in the world this week.
Well, obviously on the big events was as a person who was about to become the ambassador to the UN. Congressman at least the Phonic is no longer going to the end but to the UN, but is going to stay in the House of Representatives. Main reason Trump needs her vote there, but not just her vote. She’s a
very valuable presence in keeping with a majority it two and making sure that we have that there is a majority for Trump on the big beautiful bill that’s going to be coming up for a reconciliation. It’s very important to him. So President Trump wants to have at least the Phonics stay in the House of Representatives and which
means that she’s not going to be going to the UN.
Understood. Does that mean that they feel that some of the races coming up on Tuesday might be tight?
That’s exactly a john And there are two races. One of them, as you know, a person has been on your show, Jimmy Patronis is running in it in Florida. But he’s getting and while it’s a two to one Trump district, it is the Trump voters are low propensity voters, which means they only show up for big elections a
presidential election or a regular congressional election, and they don’t show up and buy elections like this. And the big issue that Jimmy’s getting hit over the head with is the Musk issue that this is a veterans district, more veterans than any other congressional district, and Muscu says he’s going to cut eighty thousand jobs out of the Veterans administration. Now,
on the surface, that looks terrible as far as the vets are concern. It’s actually going to make the Veterans administration more efficient. That’s what Trump is about. But politically, it is a big cudgel that is being used against the patronis in that race. So look, it’s not that he’s going to lose, but it’s going to be closer.
It’s going to make Trump look weak and that’s not good going into these big votes in the House of Representatives. Anything else, well, yeah, I know the these two close elections is another one in Florida also that’s going to be closer than people think because the Democrats have a nine million dollars to spend and our Canada only has one.
Our candidate will win and the wins will win. But again it’s that that is that issue and the Musk issue that is really looming large here and if in fact they were to get the Democrats were close in those two districts. With respect to the issues of what Musk is doing to with fraud and waste and government,
which is really good, it’s very important. We’ve got a huge, a huge two trillion dollar deficit and he plans to cut it by a trillion dollars. That’s terrific by just waiting it wiping out fraud and waste. But it is a political issue that is being used against us, and if it succeeds to at least make these races closer,
it becomes a big issue going forward, and that’s not good for Must maintaining his momentum in what he’s doing, extraordinary stuff that he’s doing with respect to the to the bureaucracies in Washington.
Ed Coxx, GOP chairman in New York, thank you so much for filling in the American people.
