General John Teichert Brigadier General, USAF (Ret.)
How did Israelis blow up pagers? Does it mean war?
Transcript
Automated transcript · uncorrectedSunday morning, what’s going on in the Middle East? What’s going on in Israel? With us this morning is Brigadier General John Dragon Tiger, but he’s retired and he was thinking of running for the Senate. And well, John Tyger, give us an update. What’s going on with you? What’s going on in the Middle East?
John? It is always great to be on with you, and as your listeners, no doubt know that things are heating up, even more so in the northern part of Israel, in the southern part of Lebanon. And this week we saw those pagers blow up in the hands and on the belt buckles of Hesbela leaders, and we heard about
their walkie talkies exploding similarly. And we know that this was a very specific message that Israel is sending to Hesbola that what has been going on for the last eleven months, with an average of fifty rockets a day being launched for Israel, is no longer something that Israel will put up with, and now that things are winding
down in Gaza, that Israel has the bandwidth to start replacing those Hesbela rocket and missile positions back to where they belong. Further to the north and to return those Israeli sixty thousand or so back to their homes in the northern part of Israel.
Wow, that’s a big difference. Now, there was also reports that there’s a one of the terrorist organization is looking to assassinate Netanyahu. Have you heard them at all?
I have, And that shouldn’t surprise us. I think that Iran in its proxies, would love to do whatever they could to show that they have the capability in a targeted way to hit Israel. But here’s the thing that Iran has noticed in the last several months that Israel can strike whatever they want whenever they want in Iran
or in Lebanon, and Iran and Hezbollah and their proxies don’t have the same capability against Israel. And that is a huge difference in the skill set between Iran and Israel. And it certainly is keeping Ran on its back foot because they’re worried that they can’t strike Israel like they would like to, and Israel can strike them at any
time and anywhere.
Understood what else? And I understand the Greek cargo ship that was leaking oil is being towed to a safer location. Have you heard that Toe.
I haven’t, but here’s what I know, John, that it has been pathetic that we have let the Whosies, another Iranian backed group, shut down the Red Sea that has huge implications for worldwide trade. It actually has increased prices of cargo to the East coast of the United States by fifty percent, which is an inflationary measure. And what
Netanyahu knows that President Biden and Vice President Harrison don’t know is that the only way that you stop the bad guys from doing the things you don’t want them to do is be a strength and always see out of the United States, and Biden and Harris is weakness.
I agree with you one hundred percent. I think Natanyahu in Israel realize that that it’s through strength, and they are showing their strength right now.
They are they are, and I think it’s pathetic that. I think the Biden foreign policy philosophy is don’t do anything that would make the bad guys mad because they might strike back in a way that you don’t want.
But I don’t think what Biden Harris know is that if you show weakness, it actually entices them to do the things you don’t want them to do. And the only way you make them back down, like Israel has done very carefully and clearly in the last week, is to show strength and show that you’re willing to escalate,
and then typically the bad guys back down.
What else would you like to talk about this Sunday morning?
You know what it’s It’s a beautiful Sunday morning. And John, I just think that as we look around our planet and we’ve noticed in the last three and a half years that it has gotten more dangerous, it is because of American weakness. And we see the more danger growing in the Western Pacific, we see it in Eastern Europe,
we see it in the Middle East, we see it in South America. We see it coming across our border. And we’ve got to remember, as the election is only a few weeks away, that when America is weak or absent, the world gets more dangerous and it hurts our national interests, and we need to get back to an America that
is characterized by strength, not weakness.
One more thing before we sign off, you were in Space Command, you were a brigadier general. Our satellites is are safe enough from outside sources like the maybe the Chinese or the or the Russians, or whoever else is up.
There, John, we are right to be extremely concerned that we have very large, expensive, exquisite satellites that achieve things that we need them to achieve via our national interest. But again, they are vulnerable because these are targets up there that are just enticing those adversaries to take them out on day one of a conflict. And the only way,
going back to deterrence around the world, that we can protect our satellite fleet like we protect our fleets around the world and our nation is to show strength and not put up with threats from an adversary. And anytime they threaten us, we need to push back hard and that’s the only way that we keep those satellites functioning
that are necessary for the well being of humanity. And right now, again, in the last three and a half years, we have not seen that under the Biden Paris administration.
Well, Brigadier General John Dragon tight it, I like to Dragon, thank you for everything you’ve done for America and continue to speak out for America. And let’s catch up again real soon.
That sounds great, John, Thanks for having me. Thank you
