Speaker 1 Sunday Morning with us today is Congressman Tim Burchett, and from the great state of Tennessee. I always like to play that Tennessee music and tell us a Congressman, Uh. I understand. The Senate is sending over uh, their version of the big bill, the budget Bill, and the Congress has to get it done by next Friday, fourth of

July to make the president happy. Is it gonna happen?

Speaker 2 I’m not sure right now, sir. They’ve I don’t think it’s gonna make the president happy. What the Senate’s done, They’ve had an incredible spending on it. They’ve loosened up on some of the Medicaid Medicare stuff, and and of course just taken away a lot of what President Trump has run on. I keep reminding people that Congress congress

is writings are in the dump right now. We are in for good reason. In President Trump’s soaring for good reason. And the reason his are soaring is he’s delivering on what he ran on and we’re running away from what we ran on. And both parties are guilty of that.

But the Republicans should know better. I expect the Democrats to do it with all the craziness they’re pulling in New York and here on the floor of Congress yesterday and in committees. But it’s it’s inexcusable for us to pass a bill out that that I think goes back on the President’s word.

Speaker 1 Understood. Now, you also were very excited about one of the bills that you put together.

Speaker 2 Yes, sir, well, actually a fella in my office, John Stout, did a lot of the heavy lifting on it. But what we found out was that that America was paying the Taliban over forty million dollars a week through various methods through these nngos, these non gout organizations, where there’s close to a thousand of them, so actually there’s we

think now there could be close to three thousand with you if you add the Foreign and United Nations shenanigans that are going on, and they’re non government organizations. But what happens is we send money to to We send money to Afghanistan, which we know we we fought them in a and and we left billions of dollars and

armaments on the ground over there so they could arm all our enemies. But anyway, so we send them money for aid, and which is to me is just crazy. And they they are three different banks, and they take the money right off the top and they and then they when they do that, they just put it in

their pockets and they fund they fund the Taliban. Literally, they control the country, They control the banks, they control the lending institutions, if you want to call them that, And anytime there’s any movement of money at all, they get a cut off of it. I mean, you know, the Lord just takes ten percent. With tith and and

the Taliban, they take a heck of a lot more, if not all of it. And then these nngos get funded, some of them do. And I’m afraid some of that money flows right back to Washington in the pockets of politicians.

I know that might come as a shock to a New Yorker as yourself, that that politicians are crooked as dog’s legs, but I’m afraid they are.

Speaker 1 Well, a lot of them made a lot of money in the stock market. I understand. Uh, you know, I used to love her, but I understand Nancy Pelosi’s husband is a good trader and on information that he gets from his wife.

Speaker 2 In bed, Yes, sir, he it’s not any.

Speaker 1 Over two hundred million dollars.

Speaker 2 I understand, Yes, sir, that’s correct, and I actually have legislation doing to dealing with that as well. I don’t expect it to go anywhere again because I think there’s a lot of Brooks in Congress. And but it’s uncanny that these people can make one hundred three hundred percent every year on the stock market. I’m just happy to

that my eleven thousand dollars portfolio my buddy Tommy Siler manages for me in Knoxville, is it does well. Uh, in my mutual fund. But that’s what members of Congress ought to have. There is a mutual fund. We are honored, we should be honored to be a member of Congress.

More people have played professional baseball than have been members of Congress. And we treat it as a it’s just an avenue for insider trading, and I just I find that very offensive.

Speaker 1 Yes, and it’s still going on. A couple of lot of people made hundreds of millions of dollars. Now. The other thing is, uh, the I’m worried about Afghanistan is getting all that money you talked about. Then there were the people’s the CIA and intelligence people still wondering some of that those sixteen trucks that left Iran with possible

nuclear equipment in it. Who bought it?

Speaker 2 Yeah? And where’s it going? And could that end up as a dirty bomb in in New York City or Knoxville, Tennessee. You know that those kind of things like that keep me awake at night. And to think that we’re just you know, we’ll we’ll trade off our our freedom and our sovereignty as a nation. Members of Congress as will

for a campaign contribution to me just makes me want to throw up. We’ve got to we’ve got to do better, and we’ve got to hold a hold of members of Congress accountable. And this bill will do just that if we can get it to the Senate. We passed it to the House. Senator she he has it. A former

Navy seal and uh, Tommy Turverbille, who’s ah was a football coach at at Auburn.

Speaker 1 He’s a good guy.

Speaker 2 Yeah, he’s a great guy. I always give him grief about about his football coaching because I’m from Tennessee, but he is a good good man.

Speaker 1 Now, the last question me and you have always talked about UFOs.

Speaker 2 Now, yes, sir, Now.

Speaker 1 The president who should have known the better because during his first term, they should have told them what the real stories are on UFOs because I know certain things that I can’t talk about. Uh why did the President say before the election that after after he gets elected, he’ll tell the people what the heck was going on

with all those drones? Did he not did during his first term? Did they not tell him or did they just did he just? Did they tell him? Now? And now he can’t say about it talk about it.

Speaker 2 I think there’s an incredible arrogance in our military complex, industrial complex, and that they they are above the aw They’re so in you know. And President Trump learned that lesson in his first term. He you know, you can remove the first layer, but it’s it’s like peeling back an onion that gum. It just goes deeper and deeper.

And these people are life lifers. And I think some of the times too, things like Roswell, New Mexico, or even the Kennedy assassination, which you’re very familiar with. I’m sure that the people that know anything about it are dead.

And we’ve we’ve kept it so secret and we’ve compartmentalized it and pushed it out and part of The trouble too, is we pushed a lot of the secrets out to to UH industry that is not for you a ball which means Freedom of Information Act. They can’t get to it, and it is in a corporate setting that is under

a government contract. So therein is the problem that they could have material, they could have a flying saucer, or they couldn’t say a piece of metal is what we would probably think that or something similar to a piece of metal that they’re analyzing, but they don’t know where it came from. The people that are analyzing it technically

don’t know where it came from. They may have an idea. So we tend to do that, and we keep these secrets and we protect these agencies, and we’ve got to get away from that. Sir, America is capable of handling.

It’s not the government’s job to decide what we can and cannot understand or trust. I think they need to just come forward with the information, and I think at the proper time, I think present if anybody will do it, it’s Trump, because I think he gets it.

Speaker 1 Congressman, you one hundred and temper sent right. I probably they didn’t tell him the truth during his first term and during your second term. He has to keep his mouth shut, yes, sir me, and you will find out someday.

And God bless you. God bless America, and thank you for everything you do.

Speaker 2 Thank you brother, and God bless cap it Is. And thank you, God bless
