Automated transcript · uncorrectedWell Sunday morning with us as Victoria Kates, Deputy National Security Advisor under President Trump and Victoria fifteen days to the election or less, and give us an update. Where you were national security? Where is our United States of America?
Where are we between our borders of the fetanoyl hitting our countries, the international security matters with Israel, Lebanon, Ukraine, whatever you.
Want to cover, well, John, I mean from my perspective, this is turning into a national security election. And I use the term national security very specifically, not foreign policy. This is national security. This touches every American where they live.
And so what we’ve had over the three and a half now almost four years of the Biden harrisonistration is an application of American sovereignty in a really fundamental way. We’re giving our country away. We’ve opened our borders. We’re inviting in all of these unvetted immigrants from all sorts of places. The people we were told who were benign,
like Afghan translators, turn out to be plotting ices attacks against us on election day to try to disrupt our country. Fundamentally. We have China putting what I’m calling a shop collar onto the United States going from NASA in the Bahamas, where they have their largest embassy in the world, through the Panama Canal to the big new port they’re building
in Lima on the Pacific. They’ve created a color around the southern United States. So this is some abstract set of problems overseas and conflicts that don’t concern us. These are things that Biden and Harris have brought home to us right here that can attack us on election Day, if not before. That are giving safe whole to our
adversaries in our own hemisphere. And that’s what I think this election is going to have to be about.
I understand one hundred and ten percent. Because Vice President Harris has said she’s going to follow President Biden’s policies, does that mean the invasion of our borders continues unobstructed? I mean, I believe in immigration. I want people, but you’ve got to have checks and balances. You can’t allow criminals in. And the Mexican gangs don’t want President Trump
elected because they’re going to lose billions of dollars if President Trump takes action.
Absolutely, and that’s that’s the key point here, is that not only is she going to permit the policies that she helped put into place during the Biden administration. She’s going to accelerate them. These are articles of faith for her that we are a colonial nation, we are inherently racist.
She’s on the record talking about all of this stuff that she doesn’t like our policing structure. You know, she goes back and forth in this in the press. You know, oh, suddenly I’m tough on crime. Well, you just let millions of criminals into the country, and you’re only going to accelerate that if we were to God forbid, give you
four years at the top job. And so this is this is much more, you know, as I said, than a foreign policy issue. This is the national security issue and taking it to the Middle East, because I think Americans might legitimately say, why do we care? Why are we getting involved in a regional war, because they’re attacking
Americans as well. These are the people we’re seeing on our streets, on our campuses. While October seventh saw more pro Hamas pro Palestinian than pro Israel demonstrations in the United States, they’re here. They took Americans hostage, who are still hostage, five of them in god on October seventh of last year. They killed dozens of Americans on October
seventh of last year. So this is our problem as well, and why I think that conflict demands our attention in a way that some other regional conflicts would not understood.
And the old adage that I’ve been using lately, how many countries have to be involved before we called it a world war. We have Lebanon, we have Israel, we have Iraq. Is Iran is definitely involved. I mean hezbalah Hamas, Ukraine, Russia, I mean North Korea now is getting involved of supplying different you know, different people, and China in the Far East.
I mean, we got to mess in our hands Victoria.
And I think what makes it a world war, as the former president, former President Trump has been saying, is actually a new acronym that an Asian regional partner brought up with me the other day, and it’s krink CRI NK China, Russia around North Korea. They have formed a I mean, I don’t want to use the alliance. It’s
more like an interdependent relationship between those states, and they’re starting to act collectively, and that’s when you like having the access in World War two. When you start to have that kind of collective action by the enemies of the West is when you can get yourself emboiled in a global conflict. And so you know, China is the
one that instigated this with their partnership without boundaries with Russia, initiated in February of twenty twenty two, right before the invasion of Ukraine, I think not coincidentally, but that now involves Iran. So you could have seen Iran as a regional problem in the past. But when we have Russia supplying missiles to the Huti to their terrorist proxies in Yemen,
and we’ve got Iran supplying drones to the Russians to use in Ukraine, that’s when this starts to look like we could have some global potential understood.
Anything else you want to tell the.
American people, Well, I just I would focus on these issues of what is touching them here at home. And the other issue I would raise is energy. It’s something the former president has spoken very powerfully about. We made a lot of progress on energy during his first term, but I think we can do so much more because
we’ve had all the Supreme Court cases go in the favor of folks who want less regulation. Of course, we want a clean environment. We want to leave the planet better than we found it, but not at the expense of humanity and human thriving. So these things are not mutually exclusive. And being a Pennsylvanian, I’m particularly sensitive to
our role as the Commonwealth being a regional energy exporter and supplier. This is something we want to expand. So no American is paying too much for energy. We can bring down inflation through these policies and then also supply our partners in that and allies around the world who are energy vulnerable. We are not. We’ve been acting like
an energy vulnerable nation. We are an energy superpower. And the sooner we wake up to that, hopefully under Donald Trump’s leadership, and start playing that world growl rather, the world will be a better place.
And the other day I said to Maria Bonoramo when I was on her show, is if Donald Trump gets elected, oil will be down to fifty to fifty five dollars. If Harris gets elected, oil will be eighty five ninety, and so on and so on and so on. But Victoria, thank you so much for coming on, Thank you for
telling me American people the truth and let’s catch up again real soon.
I look forward to it. Thank you, John,
