Speaker 1 Sunday morning. Well, every Sunday morning we have Governor David Pattison, and he gives us a common sense, democratic point of view. Well, Governor Patterson, it’s another Sunday. What’s going on?

Speaker 2 Well, John, We’ve got an interesting situation that I think is presenting itself as we speak, and it has to do with First of all, I just want to mention I hope you don’t mind if I take a little bit of your time to announce that today is Saint David’s Day for all people who are Saint David was

the patron of but it might also be Saint Andrew’s Day because Andrew Cormol the former governor of New York, former Attorney General of New York, and he of course had to leave at a certain point, but he is comfortable now. I think coming back and running for mayor being at the rest of the field seems such so

much more weakened, and Mayor Adams numbers are considerably down from where they were when he ran in twenty twenty one. So I think it’s a golden opportunity for him, and he seems to have kind of learned some things from his previous episodes, so when he gets in the race.

It’ll be interesting to see how that shakes things out.

Speaker 1 They did. That will be interesting to see. Tell us, you know, between what’s going on with Governor Hochel, what’s going on with Eric Adams, and what’s going where do you want to start?

Speaker 2 Well, I happened to hear your conversation was Sid. I guess it was what Friday morning and good morning, because we had we had a conversation peek. We had a conversation together on Thursday night with Eric Adams and then said right, rita on Sunday on Friday morning, and then I went back, I went to the UH where Sid

was and stated that what really happened on Thursday night? Right right? And you know, we’re all trying to do interviews, and we’re all trying to get the best out of people, and you know, we don’t want to get into uh you know, some of the acrimony that you feel when you disagree with what somebody says. And I thought I

was where you really cleared things up very well. And and he in kind complimented you because at that place, the District Attorney, Alvin Bragg came in spoke to you and and apparently there might be a lunch in the future for you and and the day, you know, clear the air and let them know how other people are feeling.

And I think that this is a very good use of talk radio. And I grew up listening to talk radio because I couldn’t read the newspapers. And oh I ever heard on talk radio in those days is people just yelling and screaming and basically didn’t do the research about what they were even talking about. But I think

this is really why wab’s Keys so far number one, because not only are these shows interesting, but the people who host the shows are exciting to listen to.

Speaker 1 You know, we we do we do. We tell the truth. We tell the truth and want the American people to know the truth, and we both tell it that. I think that’s why people listen to us My Conversation, your Conversation on Sunday mornings. Yeah.

Speaker 2 Well, it’s kind of an interesting situation because I remember the mayor’s race in twenty twenty one, and it was the first time we had moved the primary back to June since nineteen seventy three, and everything seemed to run its course. But here we are on the second day of March, and it looks to me like the campaign

is going to be feverish within the next couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 Yes, what’s going to happen on April first in in Staten Island? Do you have any opinion in that?

Speaker 2 I don’t. Can’t say I know enough to see exactly how that’s going to shake out. That’s pretty interesting. I’ll have to do a little research before we talk about that again, I understood.

Speaker 1 But as what you want to talk to about on Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 Well, I think that I have been very impressed. I’ve got to say with the amount of work that the new administration has done in basically a month and a half, and it you know, I’m not averse to criticizing President Trump, and I’ve done it a number of times, but I’ve got to say that the organizers, the way they put

all of these actions together, I don’t agree with all of them, but I’m just talking about the way the country is being run is really surprising. I didn’t think they could do it, but they definitely have. And I think anybody who’s being honest and is just being fair has got to say that they’ve exceeded their own expectations.

Particularly in terms of the treatment of the migrant issue, and also in terms of how the government is set up now. I think it was a little premature to come in and send threatening letters to people and telling them what time they had to respond. That was a little over the top, but it was the only thing

I thought the rest of what they’ve tried to accomplish. If this is a prelude to where the administration is going to go for the rest of President Trump’s term, it will be an administration that’s remembered for a very long time.

Speaker 1 Understood well, David Patterson, thank you for so much for coming around every Sunday morning and telling the American people what they need to know. And I enjoyed talking to you, and I’ll see you again.

Speaker 2 You soon see during the week. John
